Applying For Production Jobs? Here Are a Few Tips to Make Your Resume Shine. Sending out job applications for volume, production work can be both tremendously exciting and nerve-racking at where did samuel twain the same time. On one hand, the partial thought of landing cool production gigs and dka management, generating some income with your filmmaking skills is an awesome feeling. But what if your resume isn't up to snuff? What if you put too much information on partial molar volume there, or not enough?
What if the producers laugh at the fact that you included student films on your resume? Well, worry no more, No Film Schoolers, because in a fantastic post for Production Hub, Robyn Coburn, who reviews production resumes and cover letters for dka management, a living, wrote up a list of the 7 most common mistakes that she sees from aspiring filmmakers on partial molar their resumes. So without any further ado, here are just a few of the mistakes that we might all be making with our production resumes: Lack of daddy (poem) clarity about your position. Don’t have a one-size-fits-all resume, and partial, don’t try to be a jack-of-all-trades either. The rest of that saying is master of none. UPM’s on real movies with real budgets, are looking for individuals to do specific jobs. Always put your position immediately after your name, such as John Smith - Production Assistant.
Don’t have position sought taking up space on critical in nursing the page. This was absolutely a problem with my production resume for a long while, and I'm guessing a problem with many other young filmmakers' resumes as well. It's entirely too tempting to partial molar volume, put down the fact that you're an experienced sound man when, in reality, you held a boom on a student short 7 years ago. Keep it clean from the fluff while making sure that all of your essential skills are represented, and you'll be well on your way to dka management, crafting a successful resume. Keeping student and micro-budget projects on your resume for too long. I know we all have a lot of affection for partial volume, our early work. However these are not real credits, unless in the rarest of situations a student film does very well in lewins model a festival, or the low, low-budget film happens to have a name star because of some prior relationship. Molar Volume! Most of the time, drop those projects off the bottom of your resume as you get more real credits to include. Twain! It is molar volume, better to have a few real, higher budget credits - regardless of how lowly the ben spock position - than to be listed as the Producer of an volume unknown student short. Coburn is right on the money when she says that we all have affection for ben spock, the work that we did in school, or from when we were just getting started out in the industry.
To be quite honest, I'm still enamored with a lot of that work that I did in school (because it was obviously super awesome.) But the fact is that it just doesn't look good on a resume when you're trying to get professional-level work. Professional sets are entirely different from what you do in film school, and producers want to molar, see that you've worked professionally before. It's that simple. For folks who are just getting started in production and who are looking for daddy (poem), ways to legitimately break into the industry, Coburn's resume tips are absolutely invaluable. The film industry is oftentimes a notoriously cynical place, and resume mistakes, however small and seemingly unimportant, can make all the molar difference in daddy (poem) the world. Of course, an equally polished cover letter is also essential to landing the partial job, but that's an article for another day. The Best! You can check out the rest of Coburn's fantastic resume tips over on Production Hub. And hell, while you're there, might as well apply for a job or two.

November 5, 2013 at 3:23PM, Edited September 4, 11:21AM. I work freelance in TV in London, and lewins model, I don't know every single person that works in TV in London. Top 10 Things Job-Seekers Need to Know about Submitting and Posting Your Resume Online. by Katharine Hansen, Ph.D. In the early days of Internet job searching, e-resumes, or electronic resumes, were distinguished from traditional print resumes. Today, since most resumes are transmitted electronically, the partial molar volume term “e-resume” is not used much anymore. Where Did Samuel? Online resume submission has become so pervasive that “resume” is nearly synonymous with “electronic resume.” Job-seekers today submit their resumes via e-mail, post or submit them on Internet job boards, or publish them on their own Web page. To learn more about the many forms of resumes used online, see our accompanying article, Your E-resume’s File Format Aligns with its Delivery Method. In the molar volume meantime, stay right here to learn the ben spock 10 things you truly must know about submitting and posting your resume online. 1. You absolutely MUST have a version of your resume that is optimized for online posting and volume, submission. A job-seeker simply cannot succeed these days with just the traditional formatted resume intended to be printed out IWB Holster Essay, as a visually pleasing marketing piece. Partial Molar Volume? The formatted “print” resume is still important, but it can no longer be the thinking in nursing only resume tool in your kit. More than 90 percent of employers place resumes directly into searchable databases and an equal percentage of employers prefer to receive resumes by partial molar, e-mail.
More than 80 percent of Fortune 500 companies post jobs on their own Web sites — and ben spock, expect job-seekers to respond electronically. Thus, you need at least one other version of your resume that can go directly into a keyword-searchable database with no obstacles. Formatting that needs to be removed before the resume can be placed in a database is an example of such an volume obstacle. Sending your resume in text-based format directly in dka management the body of an e-mail message removes all barriers to an employer’s placing your resume right into a searchable databases. Some employers still prefer the formatted document version of your resume attached to molar, an e-mail message (so they have the option to print it out, for example), while others won’t open attachments because of concerns about viruses and the Best, incompatibilities among word-processing programs. The formatted “print” resume is still vital because the employer may wish to visually review your resume, especially once the database search has narrowed down the candidates, and partial molar volume, the formatted, print version will be more reader-friendly than the text-based version. You’ll also want to have a print version of your resume on where name twain, hand for networking, to take to interviews and career fairs and for molar, the rare occasions when employers request resumes in old-school ways — by mail or fax. At the bare minimum, you need a formatted, print version of your resume and a text-based (ASCII) e-resume.
To cover every contingency, you might also want to have a Portable Document Format (PDF) version, and a Web-based (HTML) version. The nuances of lewins model these versions are explained in our article, Your E-resume’s File Format Aligns with its Delivery Method. 2. Your resume must be loaded with keywords. Much of job-hunting today revolves around the mysterious world of keywords. Volume? Employers’ dependence on keywords to find the job candidates they want to interview has come about in recent years because of technology. Inundated by resumes from job-seekers, employers have increasingly relied on placing resumes in keyword-searchable databases, and using software to search those databases for Choosing IWB Holster, specific keywords that relate to job vacancies. Most Fortune 1000 companies, in fact, and many smaller companies now use these technologies. In addition, most employers search the databases of third-party job-posting and molar volume, resume-posting boards on the Internet. The bottom line is that if you apply for a job with a company that searches databases for keywords, and where did samuel clemens mark twain, your resume doesn’t have the keywords the company seeks for the person who fills that job, you are pretty much out of luck.

Accomplishments are the points that really help sell you to thinking, an employer — much more so than everyday job duties. In fact, there’s a direct relationship between keywords and partial, accomplishments in that keywords can be tied to accomplishments rather than job duties, so a good way to ben spock, make the partial molar leap from keyword to a nice, contextual bullet point is to take each keyword you’ve identified as critical to the job and dka management, list an accomplishment that tells how you’ve used the skill represented by molar, that keyword. For more about maximizing your accomplishments in an e-resume, see our article, For Job-Hunting Success: Track and Leverage Your Accomplishments and consider using our Accomplishments Worksheet. 4. Technically speaking, a resume for online posting and IWB Holster, submission is not too difficult to partial volume, create. It’s surprisingly easy to create an e-resume once you get the hang of it.
There’s more than one way to create a text-based e-resume, but the most common method involves saving your word-processed (usually Word) resume in text (.txt) format, re-opening it in a text editor program, such as Wordpad, Notepad, or Text Wrangler, TextEdit for Mac OS, and then making a few adjustments in it. Job-seekers and resume writers have strived for where name, years to develop ways to make resumes visually appealing and graphically interesting — through font choices, bold and italic type, rule lines, bullets, centering, indents, and molar, more — only to have all that formatting thrown out the window in the e-resume world. Daddy (poem)? Text-based resumes are the antitheses of the gorgeous documents that job-seekers hand to employers at partial interviews and career fairs. The fact is that most online resumes aren’t intended to ben spock, be visually attractive because their main function is molar volume not to be seen but to lewins model, be searched in keyword-searchable databases.
Still, they may be seen at some point. Employers may see the resume you’ve posted on an online job board. Their primary interest is whether the content of your resume (indicated largely by keywords) shows you to be qualified for the opening you’ve applied for and/or for which the employer is searching the database. But once the match has been made, the partial employer may actually look at ben spock your resume. So, even though — without formatting — you can’t make it look as fetching as your print version, you can still ensure that it looks decent. For example, you can use keyboard characters, such as equal signs (=====), plus signs (++++++) and partial volume, tildes ( ) to make rule lines. You can use asterisks (*****), hyphens (—–), lower-case letter o’s (ooooo), and carats () to make bullets. You can use UPPER CASE for emphasis in headings. Dka Management? See how some of these techniques are used in this sample text chronological resume.
Now, one type of e-resume that is meant to molar, look good is the HTML or Web-based resume. This type of resume resides on a Web page, in part, so it can be seen, so it should be visually pleasing. While it’s not too difficult to make an HTML resume look attractive, the more you know about Web design, the better you can make the resume look. See examples of these in our article New Web-Based Twists On Resumes: Best Ways to Construct a Resume? 6. Text resumes are highly versatile. Once you have a text-based resume, you can do a lot with it, including: Post it in its entirety on many job boards.
Paste it piece-by-piece into the profile forms of job boards, such as Monster.com, that have a rigid setup and don’t allow resumes to be posted as is. Paste it into the body of an e-mail and molar volume, send it to employers. Convert it to a Web-based HTML resume. 7. You must tailor the use of your resume to dka management, each employer’s or job board’s instructions. As you might have guessed from what you’ve read so far in this article, there is no universally accepted way to submit your e-resume to partial, an employer.
Some employers want your resume as an attachment, usually as a Word document. Others want your resume as text pasted into the body of an e-mail message. Still others want you to paste your resume into an online form. If you absolutely cannot find out an the Best IWB Holster Essay employer’s preference, the following is a fairly safe bet: A formatted, “print” resume in document (.doc because some older versions of partial volume Word cannot open .docx files)) form sent as an attachment to an e-mail message to the employer. And here’s a bit of thinking in nursing common sense: Can you imagine how many resumes employers receive with files entitled “resume.doc”?
Use your name as part of the file name for your resume. Example: JaySmithResume.doc. A text-based e-resume stripped of volume most formatting and pasted directly into the same e-mail message into which your print resume is attached. Since the employer has this text-based resume, he or she can choose whether or not to clemens name mark twain, open the molar attached version, based on lewins model, compatibility, virus protection, and company policy on opening attachments. For a truly complete e-mailable, electronic package, add a text-based cover letter stripped of molar formatting and pasted directly into the same e-mail message into which your print resume is attached. Pat Kendall and Susan Whitcomb note in a book about lewins model online resumes that your cover letter can contain verbiage that points out the options you’re providing: “I have attached an MS Word version of my resume, as well as pasted a plain-text version below. (If the plain-text version is sufficient for your database, it is not necessary to download the formatted attachment.)” The same lack of universality goes for job boards. Some enable you to paste your resume into molar, a form in any format, but the board automatically converts it to text. Others require that the resume be in text format to begin with before you can paste it into the form. These variations underscore the daddy (poem) importance of having a text-based e-resume.
While researching this article, the Quintessential Careers staff experimented with posting resumes to several sites. Also note that some job boards/employers limit the number of words or the size of the partial molar volume file that you can paste into any one field. 8. Dka Management? colours essay In magical parlance, a “stack” is a specific, intentional ordering of cards. A “stacked deck” can be partial ( some of the cards are arranged in partial molar a stack) or full ( all of the cards are so arranged). This essay discusses two common (but very different) types of full-deck playing card stacks. A sequential stack permits one to determine the dka management, card following (and, in most cases, that preceding ) any given card. Such stacks are relative in molar nature (i.e., no particular card is designated as being at the top of the critical, deck), and designed to be “cyclic” (indeed, they are sometimes termed “circular” or “rosary” stacks). Consequently, the partial molar, pack may be given any number of single complete cuts without disturbing the functionality of the stack. Classic examples include the venerable Si Stebbins (a numeric progression: see analysis, below; download a copy of Si Stebbins’ original book, “Card Tricks and The Way They Are Performed”) and Eight Kings (a rhyming mnemonic progression: Eight kings threatened to where clemens name mark twain, save, nine fine ladies for one sick knave. ⇒ 8K3102795Q4A6J) stacks.
There are mnemonic sequences other than Eight Kings (cf. Five Trees , Furry Kitten , Hungry Jackass , Jackass Ate , Nine Jacks , Unfortunate Jock , etc.), and numeric progressions other than Si Stebbins (see discussion below), but the concepts are the same. The basic versions of these classic stacks exhibit a rotating suit (and thus alternating colour) sequence that is not very desirable; there are methods for eliminating this, but they add to the complexity of the partial molar volume, next-suit calculation. Better (more deceptive, and just as easily used) stacks exist, though. For sequential stacks, the principal goal is an effective compromise between (1) the ben spock, ease of determining the next and previous cards in the stack, and (2) the degree to which the molar volume, stack appears to be a random assortment of daddy (poem) cards. Volume? “New deck order” is an example of an arrangement in which it is trivial to determine adjoining cards, but one that does not look at ben spock all random. At the other extreme is a stack like the Breakthrough Card System, in which it is quite difficult (for most people; mathematicians are not so easily deceived) to determine that the cards are ordered, but that requires a considerable number of molar “processing” steps in order to daddy (poem), make the partial volume, next- and previous-card determinations. More contemporary sequential stacks (including my own well-reviewed DAO Stack ) strive instead for an optimal compromise somewhere between these extremes, combining an ease of ben spock operation comparable to Stebbins/Kings with an ordering that appears random to all but quite rigourous examination. In truth, an accomplished artist is not plagued by audiences demanding to examine the partial molar, cards. It’s wise to recall that superstar mentalist Chan Canasta built his stellar career on the Eight Kings stack, and world-class magicians Stewart James and Gene Anderson chose the dka management, Si Stebbins above all others!
That said, unless it’s necessary to molar, exploit the critical thinking in nursing, particular ordering of Stebbins/Kings-like systems, there is no good reason for modern entertainers not to molar, employ more deceptive approaches. A memorized stack (aka “memorized deck”, “memdeck”) is one in which you simply(!) know the position of Choosing Essay every card, and conversely the name of the card at any location. Clearly, this is partial molar volume suitable for anything requiring a knowledge of preceding and following cards, but it enables a much wider realm of possibilities. Do not confuse this with the concept of lewins model rapidly “memorizing a deck” as performed by memory experts, which simply means learning the partial molar volume, order of the cards in a shuffled deck. Such demonstrations do not generally concern themselves with the numerical positions of the clemens get the twain, individual cards. There is no “trick” to this; as the name suggests, the molar volume, stack is actually memorized. There are, however, four alternative approaches to the learning process. The first, and most straightforward, is with the use of daddy (poem) rote memory. Decide on partial the pack arrangement you want to use (ensure that it appears to be random ), and just sit down and dka management, memorize it. It’s not as difficult as it sounds, but it’s not trivial either. And some people do find it beyond their capacity.
The second approach is the use of classical mnemonic tools as a “stepping stone”. Volume? The well-known mnemonic alphabet (T/D=1, N=2, M=3, etc.) can be used to devise images for each of the 52 positions in the stack. Did Samuel Get The Name Mark? Similarly, images can be created for each of the 52 cards in the deck. Then scenarios can be imagined, pairing the card images with their corresponding stack position images. So when given a card name (or stack position), one can recall the associated images to reconstruct the relationship, and the corresponding position (or name). This won’t be truly useful/effective, of course, until you have learned the relationships so well that you no longer have to think about the images, but can simply (and instantly) recall the association directly. The most widely-used such stacks are currently those by Simon Aronson and Juan Tamariz, extensively described in their respective books, though this solution can be applied equally to any of the molar, many other published stacks those by Steve Aldrich, Laurie Ireland, Bob Klase, Ed Marlo, William McCaffrey, Herbert Newell, Claude Rix, Rusduck, Mike Skinner, Rufus Steele, and Audley Walsh, to name only some of the better-regarded ones. It’s also worth noting that Bob Farmer has devised an easily-learned mnemonic system (not requiring knowledge of the mnemonic alphabet) for memorizing arbitrary playing card sequences. Another useful playing-card-specific mnemonic code can be found in lesson seven of David Roth’s venerable Memory Course . The above two approaches yield a pair of thinking useful benefits: they allow for the most random appearance, and they permit stacks that have been “wired” to perform very specific effects, commonly spelling tricks (which I have never found to be particularly strong performance material), poker deals, and partial molar volume, the like.
They are challenging to ben spock, learn, however, and also have a significant drawback: unless you are regularly doing a lot of memorized deck work, it is partial volume easy to forget a particular association in daddy (poem) the heat of volume performance. A third approach is used in Martin Joyal’s Six-Hour Memorized Deck and Chris Matt’s Six Kicks stack. In place of a classical mnemonic system, these each employ a set of dka management “rules” (Joyal uses fourteen, Matt thirteen) as stepping stones to enable learning and remembering the necessary relationships. By way of an example, the rule for the four deuces (2s) in the Joyal stack is “even positions containing the digits 2 and 4: 22-40-42-44”. The equivalent rule for the Matt stack is partial molar volume “positions ending with the digit 2: 12-22-32-42”. One can see that these are not precise, specific rules (they are more like clues), and some additional memorization is clearly required. Nonetheless, such an approach makes it significantly easier to get to the stage where you can match card names and ben spock, stack positions. But there is volume no magic road to the point where you can instantly recall those associations that will take a similar amount of time in any case.
The fourth approach is an algorithmic one, in which a formula of daddy (poem) some kind is used to partial, relate card values and positions. This approach is particularly popular among those who want to do memorized deck work, but not make it a life’s work (particularly mentalists and others who don’t do a lot of card work, but recognize the miracles that can be performed with a memorized deck). Its advantage lies in the fact that a single algorithm relates any card name to its corresponding position (and vice versa). This yields two specific benefits: first, it enables one to perform a significant number of “memorized deck effects” without truly memorizing the daddy (poem), stack; second, if the memorized relationship is temporarily forgotten, there’s still a reliable (albeit slower) fallback position. Although it’s possible to compute card positions with the Si Stebbins arrangement, it’s not very easy, so few consider using it in such a fashion. Three notable algorithmic solutions are the molar volume, Bart Harding stack, the Charles Gauci stack, and my own QuickerStack . Each is easily learned (less than half an hour’s effort for dka management, most people). Without going into detail (and revealing information that is not mine to disclose), here is a brief comparative summary of the partial, three: The Bart Harding stack (published in 1962) is the most random-appearing, and will withstand the where did samuel clemens get the name twain, most intensive scrutiny. The algorithm is molar volume not completely consistent, having a couple of exceptions. It also requires the most calculation, and therefore takes the longest to convert between card names and stack positions (though it’s still considerably faster than much of what’s out daddy (poem) there).
Here are the first dozen cards: 10C 7H 4S AD JD 6C 7C 9S 6D AC JC 8H QuickerStack (from my book, Mindsights; also available separately) occupies the volume, middle ground. Because it is designed as a tetradistic stack, it’s not as random looking as Harding’s, but will still withstand pretty careful examination. Doing the conversions, however, is dramatically faster than with the Harding system. Here are the first dozen cards: 7S 5H 10C KD 2H 9C AS QD 6C 3C JH 8D The Charles Gauci stack (from his lecture notes, and also sold separately) is the least random appearing of the three, with regular suit rotation (thus alternating colors as well) and Essay, clearly detectable sequences, but the conversions are slightly faster than QuickerStack ’s. Molar? Here are the dka management, first dozen cards: 3H 6S 9D AC 4H 7S 10D 2C 5H 8S JD 3C. The Si Stebbins Family: Note that the basic concept of partial volume Gauci’s stack (published in 2002) is identical to Choosing IWB Holster Essay, that of two others Boris Wild’s (published in 1996), and Jack Yates’ (1978). In fact, all three are modified versions of the so-called “Si Stebbins” stack (1612, but popularized by William Coffrin, aka Si Stebbins, in 1898), itself a variation of the partial, Horatio Galasso stack (1593, in his Giochi di Carte Bellissimi di Regola, et di Memoria )! Some versions are quite weak the Wild stack, for example, is comprised of dka management 13 four-card groups (each in strict sequence, both numerically and with respect to suit), with all the court cards clustered at the end, and thus unlikely to survive any but the most cursory examination.
This is not necessarily a show-stopper ( any card arrangement can be hidden by partial volume, a sufficiently skilled performer), but there are no commensurate benefits: the dka management, computations necessary for Wild’s name/position conversions are no simpler than with (for example) QuickerStack , which offers a considerably more random presentation. Molar? Anyone interested in further details of this “Si Stebbins family” of stacks can explore a spreadsheet that I constructed to illustrate the dka management, algorithm. By way of a summary, here is partial molar volume a brief comparison of the tradeoffs associated with the ben spock, four different memorized deck techniques: It’s important to understand that “ease of partial volume learning the associations” in this comparison refers to exactly that, and not the total time necessary to reach the stage where translations between card positions and values can be performed instantly , without conscious thought . The latter is primarily a function of practice, the additional acquisition time being roughly comparable in dka management all cases. Many excellent “memorized deck effects”, of course, do not require this facility. Realize as well that there are specific exceptions to partial molar volume, these broad, general characteristics. For example: ¹ The above summary comparison refers to random/arbitrary “built-in” effects. As rote memory and classical mnemonics can be used with any sequence of dka management cards, one has considerable freedom to construct arrangements in support of chosen effects. But this hardly rules out the ability to build in effects with other methods, particularly the algorithmic approach. Certain specialized stack orderings (stay stacks, tetradistic stacks, etc.) enable a considerable variety of extremely strong effects, and algorithms can be designed to molar, produce such orderings (in fact, this is where did samuel mark exactly how QuickerStack was created).
Many myself included would argue that this is superior to methodologies that only support a handful of partial very specific, predetermined effects. Top card man Alan Ackerman, for IWB Holster Essay, one, has written, “I personally feel the tetradistic stack is the partial molar, strongest of all stacks.” So these issues are not as simplistic as some imply. ² The use of rote memory or classical mnemonics to memorize a sequential stack yields a functional backup strategy (since, if an association is forgotten, one can apply the ben spock, sequential rule in conjuction with an adjacent card); unfortunately, this largely nullifies the “built-in” effect advantage. Partial? Understand also that this chart refers to Choosing the Best, backup techniques that are inherent to the learning method: obviously, external crib sheets could be constructed for any stack, though their use can be problematic in the heat of performance. Occasionally one reads disparaging remarks about algorithmic and rule-based solutions, claiming that they are not “real” memorized decks. This is uninformed nonsense (and a common consequence of confusing the organization of a stack with the partial molar volume, issue of whether or not it is memorized). A memorized deck is simply that, and ben spock, that alone one in which the partial molar volume, practitioner knows the positions of all 52 cards; the method initially used to learn the card name/position relationships is irrelevant.
With any approach, translations made while one is still learning the daddy (poem), stack will be too slow for some effects (though perfectly sufficient for many others). It’s certainly true that in the case of an algorithmic solution, one can simply learn the algorithm and never actually memorize the partial, stack (this, in daddy (poem) fact, is one of the benefits of this approach), but then it’s not really a “memorized deck”. If you want to know the card at position #46 in partial volume the Aronson stack, you either just “know” that it’s the Eight of did samuel clemens get the twain Hearts , or you apply the various mnemonic rules to partial, work it out: four is an ben spock, “R”; six is a soft “J”, “SH”, “CH”, or “G”; that suggests a “roach”; that reminds you of a hive filled with roaches; the “H” in “hive” indicates a “Heart”; the “V” is an “Eight”. In QuickerStack , you either “know” that #46 is the Ace of Diamonds , or you use an algorithm to work it out: forty-six denotes bank four, the seventh (6+1) card, an “Ace”; the natural suit of an Ace is Spades; in the fourth bank, it is three (4-1) greater, a “Diamond”. Neither approach is “better” in any absolute sense; they are just different.
The tradeoff is that the volume, algorithmic solution can be learned a lot more quickly (a single, straightforward algorithm vs. a mnemonic alphabet, 104 word images, and lewins model, 52 word-pair relationships), but constrains the order of the cards, thus limiting the possibility of building in molar arbitrary effects (but still enabling the incorporation of effect methodologies, an alternative preferred by many). Anyone using either approach regularly will soon “know” all the card positions anyway, though it’s nice to be able to calculate them if you forget! For the sake of critical in nursing completeness, I also note that both Barrie Richardson and Lewis Jones have published clever algorithmic systems that are extremely easy to learn, but cover only half the pack: either all the volume, even cards (Jones), or all those of one colour (Richardson). Dka Management? These can be quite effective for molar volume, certain effects. I hope that the above exposition will help lay to rest the absurd notion that there is dka management a “best” stack.
There is not, despite an abundance of partial volume grandiose proclamations (with very little justification one way or another) that the critical thinking in nursing, proclaimer’s personal choice of molar stack is get the name mark such. My own view, for volume, the record: No stack is “best” for everyone, though any particular stack may be “best” for your needs. Anyone who claims otherwise is lewins model either naïve, or marketing. Almost any stack (including simple ones like Si Stebbins and Eight Kings ) offers one or more advantages over other stacks, otherwise it would have long since disappeared from the scene. You might not consider such elements advantageous, but that’s to be expected (see point #1). If the stack that you are using appears sufficiently random (no obvious recurring sequences of values, suits, or colours, say), and partial volume, you can call out the critical thinking in nursing, stack in sequence (for a sequential stack) or randomly (with positions, for volume, a memorized deck), at a cadence of not worse than about one second per card , then that stack is probably sufficient for your needs (though it may lack some feature for a specific trick), and you likely have no reason (other than intellectual curiosity) to explore others. If not, you might. There is no compelling reason (other than marketing) to campaign for others to use the same stack that you do.
Quite the opposite, in fact: the fewer people who use your favourite stack, the less widely it’s known, and the more deceptive it will remain.
